one of the things i love most about painting is that i have absolutely no fear with anything.  i can work for hours on a painting,...days, months....but if i don't feel it anymore, i have no fear in painting over it to create what my heart is feeling..  i think most of my work really has become paintings on top of paintings.  it is amazing to me because the brushes and canvas are the only place where i feel that comfortable to do such a thing.  there is no hesitation.  and it makes me feel empowered and confident in what i feel deep within.  i am not the best artist in the world and may not even be that good at creating it, but i thank whoever gave me the gift to want to do it.  we are all truly blessed to have art in our lives, whether we see it or not, but i find myself more and more thankful everyday for it.  to quote one of my favorite movies, dead poets socirty, "but only in their dreams can men truly be free, 'twas always thus, and always thus will be." my dreams lie within little tubes of paint and i am happy that all i have to do is screw open a little cap to let them out....
